On 13 October, COOL-SAVE held a workshop at CHILLVENTA 2014 in Nurmeberg, Germany where technical partners Klas Berglof and Jaime Sines De Prado, represented respectively Climacheck and GEA.

Climacheck presented results from field measurements and analysis of refrigeration systems in five European industrial plants from the food and drink industry. Methods for analyzing and optimization showed potential savings of 10-30%.

GEA highlighted different aspects of refrigeration systems optimization such as evaluation of the production process, cooling load management, variations in evaporation or condensation pressures, and defrost control.

Didier Coulomb, Director of the IIR, facilitated the session, introducing the concept behind the COOL-SAVE project and promoting the online Cool- Save survey ( http://www.coolsave.eu/opiniones.html).

Altogether, the session welcomed over 40 people, sparking comments and questions from the audience. Cool-Save consortium aims to present a project update at CHILLVENTA 2015.

CHILLVENTA, an annual exhibition, gathers industry, wholesale trade, professional associations and research to discuss cutting-edge topics on refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps
